CTLE and Disability Services
CTLE and Disability Services
The Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) seeks to ensure that all programs, services and facilities are accessible to Â鶹´«Ã½ students on a non-discriminatory basis. The CTLE reviews and maintains disability-related documentation and is committed to providing our students with disabilities the accommodations and support they need to have a rewarding and successful experience. The University’s ADA Committee determines whether a student is eligible for services and, if so, coordinates appropriate accommodations based on the documentation provided and in consultation with the student and other professionals, as appropriate.
Disclosures to the CTLE are confidential and will never appear on a student’s college record. The student must take the initiative by meeting with a CTLE staff member at the beginning of each semester or when otherwise appropriate in order to put an accommodation plan into place.
The CTLE is located in the Loyola Science Center – 5th floor.
WELCOME NEWLY DISCLOSING STUDENTS!
Students wishing to find out more about potentially receiving accommodations at Â鶹´«Ã½ are encouraged to send an email to disabilityservices@scranton.edu and we will be happy to provide you with information about the disclose and accommodation request process.
For more information about the complete accommodation disclosure process, see Disclosing and Documenting a Disability.
FOR CURRENT STUDENTS WITH ACCOMMODATIONS:
If you have been granted academic accommodations, you will be sent an email at the beginning of each semester reminding you to schedule an appointment with a CTLE staff member to complete your faculty notification letters.
If your accommodation needs change, please send updated documentation to the CTLE for review by the ADA Committee.
We’re looking forward to working with you!
If you have any questions about accommodations at Â鶹´«Ã½ based on a disability or temporary impairment, please look through this website for information. If you still have remaining questions, please send them to disabilityservices@scranton.edu.
