Pre-Professional Programs
Â鶹´«Ã½’s pre-professional programs have a long tradition of preparing students for admission to the top professional schools in the nation. Our strong undergraduate curriculum rooted in liberal education, coupled with advising programs and personal counseling will help you prepare for advanced study in law, engineering, medicine and health-related fields.
Pre-Health Professions Program
The Â鶹´«Ã½’s Pre-Health Professions Program has a long tradition of preparing graduates to excel on any level, most notably medical school. Of the 911 applicant to doctoral health professions schools over the past 15 years, an average of 78% were accepted to schools of medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, podiatry and optometry.
Many of our alumni in the pre-professional program have earned awards in the sciences, and many others have received accolades in other disciplines, including English, philosophy, theology and language. Several of our alumni have been named Goldwater Scholars, many have conducted research as Fulbright Scholars, and others have received full funding for M.D./Ph.D. programs.

Pre-Law Advisory Program
In the past four years, more than 150 Â鶹´«Ã½ graduates have received acceptance into more than 80 law schools throughout the United States. These include some of the nation’s most prestigious schools, such as Boston University, Cornell, the University of Michigan, the University of Pennsylvania, and William and Mary.
Â鶹´«Ã½ graduates admitted into law school have, in many cases, earned great distinction while in law school and in their legal careers afterward. Examples include a graduate from the class of 1999, who, after finishing law school, served as a law clerk to the late William Rehnquist, then Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, as well as a more recent graduate who, in just his first year of law school at the University of California at Berkeley, won two awards for academic achievement.

Pre-Engineering Program
The Department of Physics and Engineering offers bachelor's degrees in Computer, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering as well as Engineering Management. Our two-year pre-engineering program introduces its students to the highly technical training they will need for all phases of the engineering profession in general, allowing them to continue in one of the engineering programs offered at Â鶹´«Ã½ or transfer to another school to complete their degree work in chemical, civil or environmental engineering.
