Summer Academy for Speech and Language Enrichment
During the summer following their first year, our SLP graduate students complete their initial clinical placement at the Summer Academy for Speech and Language Enrichment. This placement marks the beginning of their clinical training, which includes a total of three to four rotations throughout the two-year graduate program.
The Summer Academy provides students with their first in-person experience delivering speech-language services to children in a supportive, supervised setting. Throughout the program, students work closely with our faculty, staff, and clinical supervisors to develop foundational skills in assessment, intervention, and professional communication, while also engaging in meaningful collaboration with clients, families, and peers.
Program Details
The Summer Academy is a free program offering engaging speech and language enrichment sessions for children with diverse communication needs. It runs each summer at the Â鶹´«Ã½ School for Deaf and Hard- of- Hearing Children.
